New Venue: Forrest Hills!

It is with great excitement that the Music on the Mountain Organization team announces our return to an in-person workshop in 2023! This workshop has been at the DuBose facility for many years. We have enjoyed our time there, but we are excited to introduce our participants to the workshop's new home: Forrest Hills Mountain Resort and Conference Center!

Welcome!

Music on the Mountain is an annual weekend viola da gamba workshop for intermediate and advanced level players. The weekend begins with Friday evening dinner followed by an all group play. On Saturday and Sunday, small consort sessions are coached by our excellent faculty, who also give an informal faculty recital Saturday evening. The workshop concludes Sunday at noon. Private lessons with faculty can be arranged. Workshop registration is limited to 30 students.

New Location!

Forrest Hills Mountain Resort is situated in the mountains of north Georgia between the small town of Dahlonega and breathtaking Amicalola Falls. Workshop participants will be housed in either the Tree Topper or Eagles Nest lodges. Meals are served in the resort's restaurant and included in the conference fee.
